Elaine Thompson Stage name EMPRESS-E   is a seasoned professional with a distinctive touching and inspiring singing voice.

 Throughout her career, her self- penned composition have encompassed a full range of human emotions as well as timely and thought provoking political lyrics.

Her career has spanned over 25 years beginning when she was still a teenager in her native Nottingham. As one of six children she was raised by a single mother,  Elaine soon found her voice and was paid attention by the fledging  music scene in Nottingham. leading her soaring voice to the Realistics, The backing band of the NATURAL  ITES. She has also worked with Artist as desired as Tony Thomas, house music/reggae.In the Band  THE REACTEORS. Wayne Evans and her sister Barbara Kell  in the rock/blues band the MIST OF TIMES. And in the jazz tradition, Tony Cofi and Elaine spent many hours practicing her vocals along with his saxophone.   Her  a cappella voice provides that even without accomplishment, that she could hold an audience transfixed as she supported MAXI PRIEST, at the Nottingham’s  Royal Concert Hall.

 

Elaine is the result of many years of commitment to her family, hard work creativity and a heartfelt belief in and love for music, it's power to inspire and her own ability to convey it's  message and emotions.

 

Her lasting  lyrical offerings is the reggae inspired ' island breeze’  In the no good situation Riddim . Elaine as written lyrics, secret paradise. and My heart sings a sad song.  Ted Ramnez and the Muaro’s. a Band from Bukittiggi in Indonesia  Had the pleasure of singing . In 2020 Elaine started a new Business. AFUA - RECORD LABEL.LTD.  Her NEW Releases Just Another Broken System and SAVE THE WORLD released through Distrokid are now on all platforms to purchase and stream worldwide  Elaine also Collaborated with her brother Stewart C Kell 2 songs titled UNDERSTAND and WATERFALL. In the AFUA - RECORD LABEL.LTD STUDIO.  Indeed the Internet has provided Elaine with a worldwide audience able to access her music via YouTube and ITUNES. her latest album is now in production and is the result of six years work. It promise to be the culmination of Elaine’s  impressive musical journey to date.
